Looking at your JD tractor, why do you not have a hay spear on the front loader? We stack our round bales 4 high by use of a loader. Our loader has a quick attach so you can use multiple implements–4/1 bucket, hay spear, compost spreader, tree shear, grapple bucket, forks and boom crane.
Well in fact we do have a spear on the front loader. And a bale un-roller on the back.
We bring the bale out on the spear…Wooz unwraps it at the gate…I go in and bounce it on the ground to shake some hay loose. The cows concentrate on that small pile. I move away and set down the bale…grab it with un-roller and off I go. On the way out I pick up Wooz at the gate (if I remember).
