A shed raising….
….nothing so grand as a new barn. Just a shed to keep the elements off handlers and animals at the chute. We’ve put the joists in place and now we’re waiting for the roof trusses to arrive.
“We” are Kurt Volkert, a good friend visiting from Germany, Farm Manager Duane Ard, and the architect.

You need an architect to build a shed? I rather work with an engineer, architect’s draw pretty pictures then ask the engineer to make them work–my experience in the construction world for the last 39 years.

Well, I bought the bolts so I guess I’m the engineer, too. My degree is in journalism so I know everything.
