The good guys lose one….
….in the Senate, where they’ve just killed a proposal that would permit individual states to require labels for Genetically Modified food products.
The argument was that would be too expensive and is better left to the federal government. (We’re in the very best of hands.) Thanks to Ed Taylor for the link:

Then we better continue to hound the Federal gov’t until either they enact a Federal GMO labeling law or realize they better give it back to the States, where it belongs.

Send the responsibility for GMO labeling back to the States! Make them pay off folks in all 50 state houses. It won’t break them but it will slow them down some.
